GC Prep is our contractor license exam prep platform — ten simulators across eight states, built out from the DMV core of Maryland MHIC, Virginia DPOR, and DC HIC/GC/CM. It’s live, it’s growing, and it’s ours.
In Virginia, that platform is state-recognized: MasonByte is an approved Virginia DPOR education provider (Provider #2730000506), delivering pre-license education that meets the Commonwealth’s requirement for general contractor applicants — including Class C.
Most SDVOSBs are service-only companies. MasonByte builds products. GC Prep demonstrates our SaaS development capability in a domain we know from the ground up — the same construction space where we win government renovation contracts.
